Not only are sports a great way to stay active, but they are also a great medium to be social and to meet new friends in a new city. In Boston, one of the most popular social sports has been soccer. There are many soccer leagues in Boston that are perfect young professional twenty-somethings. While there are leagues for all levels of play, we find that the focus is not so much on the competition, but rather on the post-game beers. 

Social Boston Sports:

Socail being the key word. It doesn't matter whether you were a college soccer star or haven't touched a soccer ball since kindergarden, you can find your place at SBS. Each season, SBS offers both a novice and intermediate league, both co-ed. You can sign up with a team, or as a free agent to play either 5 v 5 indoor, 6 v 6 indoor, 7 v 7 outdoor, 8 v 8 indoor, and 11 v 11 outdoor. Every season will have a sponser bar, where teams will meet and drink after the games. At the end of each season, the winning team will celebrate by drinking beer out of the championship trophy.

Boston Ski and Sports Club:

BSSC is Boston's largest social sports organization, and has over 45,000 people playing BSSC sports anually. This makes BSSC the perfect place to meet new people living in and around Boston while being active. The club offers indoor and outdoor, co-ed and male only leagues all around the Greater Boston Area. BSSC offers soccer leagues every day of the week, that you can sign up for with a team or as a free agent. If you sign up as a BSSC member, you will not only get a discount on the league, but you will be able to take advantage of all the BSSC rewards.

Teamworks:

Located in Revere MA, Teamworks offers adult soccer leagues for co-ed, women only, and male only teams. What makes Teamworks unique is that each game is played on an indoor, boarded, turf field. Teamworks also provides a Premier league for players who are looking for a higher level of competiton. The Teamworks leagues run year round.
